Event Nr. 3 Seminar in Hungary

Date: 22-25.09.2022
Venue: NAGYCENK, Hungary
Participants:  4 from 9 Partners (United Kingdom, Germany, Latvia, Greece, Slovakia, Croatia, Estonia, Czechia, Spain) + 20 local participants

 Specific topic: Promotion of advantages of the EU membership as the only way for them being recognized by Eurosceptics.

Project activities:

  1. Presentation: The project co-ordinators will present the REFORM project as well as other European Programmes such as Erasmus +, Creative Europe…
  2. Debate – How can we, rural European citizens, reshape the European Future? The debate is an opportunity for the participants to get together in an informal setting to examine, discuss and debate on the specific topic.
  3. Group discussion – Sharing thoughts about common issues! For the future of Europe, youth remains a priority. Participants will discuss the issues such as how to keep the youth in rural areas, how to improve the living conditions, etc.
  4. Quescussion – Joined youth for better tomorrow! How to get youngsters more involved in local events / projects, decision making process?
  5. Brainstorming – No future for young generations? The participants will use reverse brainstorming technique to point out the problems concerning young generations and how to solve them.
  6. Workshop – REVIEW – All we share – Things we have in common. Participants will take part in a workshop discussing common values emphasizing the importance of intercultural dialogue and civic participation. Gapminder game
  7. Storytelling – DON’T REPEAT, RETELL!  (Pan-European Picnic).  An expert will take the role of a Storyteller and share some stories from that period regarding the local area with the participants. Stories will include their personal point of view without interference of the participants. After it will be organised a short discussion about the impact of the story on the participants.   8. Game show – Replay! – The game show played interactively during the meeting. The participants will be playing it online. They will have to collaborate closely with participants from other countries in order to gain the right answers.
  9. Volunteering action – Participants will take part in a voluntary action organised by the locals.By taking part in this activity the participants will be encouraged to become active citizens and motivated to show respect and give back to the local society.
  10. Local event – The participants will take part in a traditional harvesting festival. Participants will experience traditional way of life in Kisalföld region by taking part in series of activities (folklore games, bread baking, etc).
  11. Survey – A survey as a research method will be carried out for collecting data and opinions from the citizens living in rural areas to gain more information and insights on the topic, focusing on the question about diversities in Europe and our common history. FRIDAY EVENING
  12. Debate – This Reformal meeting helps the participants to learn about the White paper on the future of Europe and have an interactive discussion in an informal, relaxing environment about the Scenario 3: Those who want more do more.
